Discern With Others (for men and women)
Many people find it helpful to connect with others in their community when discerning God's call. Discernment Groups were created to bring together peers searching for clarity on their journey throughout discernment. Praying with others and sharing the Lord's work will give you strength and support throughout your vocation.
During the meetings, a priest, trained in the art of discernment, will facilitate helpful teachings and discussions in the following areas:
How to communicate with God from the depths of your heart
How to distinguish God's voice from one's own thoughts by looking at inner movements
How to create an environment of openness and receptivity
How to apply St. Ignatius' rules of discernment in everyday life
How to achieve greater freedom in daily decision making
How to know if God is calling you to be a priest or a religious brother or sister
How to recognize the next step in your vocational discernment
Discernment Groups meet twice a month at two locations: WATERLOO and HAMILTON.
Waterloo meetings are held in the St. John Paul II Student Centre on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 P.M. There is a 45 minute group discussion, followed by 7:00 P.M. Mass.
Hamilton meetings are held at Canadian Martyrs Church ... 2018 date to be announced.
