Do you feel called to a religious life, but uncertain which community to join?

1. Do Some Research:

When discerning a call to the religious life, it is best to look at many different religious communities.  Read about each of their founders, their history, and familiarize yourself with their ministry and contribution to the community.  Keep an open mind and a willing heart and see which religious community resonates with you.

2. Ask Questions:

Once you have narrowed down your choices, contact the religious communities and ask to speak with their vocation director.  It is natural to have questions and the vocation director will be able to provide you with additional information about the organization. Take the opportunity to visit with the vocation director and gather a better understanding of the community and what its formation and life is like.

3. Attend A Retreat:

Ask if the community would allow you to attend a retreat with them.  Spending a few days with a religious community is the best way to determine if it is the right religious community for you.
